ACHIEVEMENTS
In the National Malay Writing Competition organised by NUSA
Malay Language Centre, two of our pupils have done the school proud.
Muhammad Fakhruddin from P4 won the Gold award while Aisyah from P5 won the silver award.
COMPETITIONS
Competitions were carried for the various levels. Teachers conscientiously trained pupils with the intent to instil self-confidence and the love for Malay Language. The following competitions were organized:

MULTI-CULTURAL Malay PROGRAMMES @YZPS
Primary 1 to Primary 2: Reader’s Theatre
This workshop aims to develop reading, listening communication and presentation skills through the use of drama as a means of self-expression. At the end of the workshop, pupils did a theatre performance.

Primary 3 & 4: Interactive Story Telling Workshop
During this workshop, pupils were introduced to 3 different ways of storytelling and were encouraged to express themselves creatively as they narrate, role play and use their imagination. In doing so, pupils are encouraged to discover the Malay Language and use it to communicate with one another.

Primary 5: Creative
Writing Workshop
The workshop aims to develop language
and writing skills in pupils. Using the famous folklore ‘Pak Pandir’, pupils
are guided through a writing course which encourage them to use their
imagination in creating their own fractured folktale.
