Total Defence Day 2014

For 2014, the theme was “Because You Played a Part”. Thus, the school focus this year was on Psychological Defense. The Primary 1 to 3 pupils were involved in creating posters to show how they are proud of Singapore while the Primary 4 to 6 pupils created a poster on “Acts of Kindness”. They also wrote appreciation notes to those who had done their part in the community. During recess, the pupils had a memorable food rationing activity, as they consumed different types of food created using potatoes and yam. This is to ensure that they empathized with the hardships suffered by our forefathers during the Japanese Occupation

There was also a fire drill exercise to ensure that everyone remains vigilant and learn the importance of Civil Defense. There was sharing by two of our male teachers during the assembly, as they talked about their respective vocations in serving the nation.
